Playing the Game-

Just point and shoot.

Turn on the second device. Now that both devices are activated point them and begin firing.

Keeping Score-

Each time you are hit a green light will flash and you will hear James' voice say something like "Bummer."  Each additional hit advances the green light. The green light "Blinks" to show you how many times you've been hit. Be careful, if you get seven hits against you, your device will say "Loser".

Turning the Device Off - TinyTag does not have an off switch. If you leave the unit alone for 3 minutes and do not touch the firing button the device will go off by itself.

Tips and Tricks -

The TinyTag works best indoors or in low light or even better at night.

Rapid Fire - There is no rapid fire. The firing button is set-up so that holding it down will not cause it to fire any faster. You will need to push it each time you shoot at your opponent.

Bounce Shots - You can shoot around corners by using you hand as a mirror and bouncing the signal off your palm. Try it off a wall.

Channel Turners - Yes, you can even use a channel turner to hit a TinyTag unit. TinyTag uses the same infrared technology as a channel turner - so it's safe.

Distance-

When used indoors, the units have been known to fire over to 65 feet. You have to have a steady hand and good aim to hit that distance. Under normal playing conditions, you can "Spray" your opponent with a 10 foot circle of infrared light at about 30 feet. You don't have to be perfect, just make sure both units are facing each other when you fire.

Batteries-

Adult supervision is required for changing the batteries.  Each TinyTag uses two CR-2032 button cell batteries. Remove the screws from the back on the unit and carefully remove the batteries.

When installing the new batteries, be mindful not to touch the batteries except on their edges. Also, be mindful, that if the batteries touch each other the wrong way, they can short out. When installing, stack the batteries "+" side down from the green printed circuit board. Do not mix old and new batteries, alkaline and lithium, rechargeable and standard.

Troubleshooting-

A light stays on - If any light on the TinyTag devices stays on, the device has probably locked up due to a low battery. To reset the device, push the reset button on the backside.  When the volume starts getting low and lights lock up, your batteries are probably low and will need replacing.

No lights or sound - The batteries are dead. Time to purchase new ones.
